VEHICLE DEFENSE (HANDGUN)
We Spend a Great Deal of Our Time In and Around Vehicles. Driving the Family to Events, Going to Work, Running Errands. But Do We Know how To Fight Around and From Inside a Vehicle? Failing to Plan Is Planning To Fail!
The Vehicle Assault Handgun Course Will Show You the Necessary Skills for FIGHTING with a Handgun Inside and Around a Vehicle.
In This Course You Will:
* Engage Targets From Behind the Wheel
* Learn What Portions of a Vehicle Offer the Best Cover
* Learn How to Shoot Over, Under, and Around a Vehicle
* Exit a Vehicle and Engage a Threat Quickly From Either Side of the Vehicle.
* Learn About "Carjacking" Defense
* Learn About Penetration Of Ammunition in Vehicles
* Learn and Practice Proper Draw Stroke While Seated
* Learn About "Spall" Effect from Glass
* Engage Multiple Threat Targets
8 Hour Class $175.00 Per Student (8a - 5p)
Prerequisites -
This IS an advanced handgun class so we require either a previous Trident Firearms class, 832 Firearms Course or another course through a reputable company that would show weapon proficiency.
Required Equipment -
- Any Semi-auto handgun of 9mm caliber or larger, or
- Any Revolver of 38 caliber or larger
- No 22cal.
- No Single Action “Western / Cowboy style revolvers please
- A minimum of two (2) magazines or two speed loaders are required. Although more is better...
- A good holster and single or double magazine pouch or speed loader pouch
- Strong side holsters please, no fanny packs, crossdraw or should holsters (The holster must have the ability to "re-holster" the handgun with one hand
- Eye and Ear protection can be provided by Trident Firearms, if you do not have your own (Eye protection must be full wrap around style)
- A ball cap (or similar type of cap) with a brim is required
- Good footwear that offers ankle support is recommended (No open toe shoes, sandals, etc.)
- Knee pads may be a good idea too
- Long pants, no shorts (We recommend cargo style pants, Blackhawk, Tru Spec, 5.11 type or military BDU with the bellows pockets to hold additional ammunition)
400 rounds of handgun ammunition.
Please note that there are not any convenience stores anywhere nearby. You are strongly encouraged to bring some food for lunch and ample amounts of water.
